Volvo Penta TAD1643VE-B is inline six-cylinder, water-cooled four-stroke diesel engine. Displacement 16.1L, bore × stroke:154 mm × 185 mm, compression ratio 17.5:1. Equipped with turbocharger and air-to-air intercooler, high-pressure common rail injection system, matched upgraded Volvo EMS2.3 electronic engine management system.

Robust reinforced cast iron cylinder block, wet replaceable cylinder liner design, convenient single-cylinder maintenance. Broad flat torque curve, strong overload capacity, suitable for variable heavy-load working conditions. Centralized service layout, easy filter replacement and daily inspection. Multiple optional auxiliary configurations, standard industrial installation interfaces, convenient to couple with alternators, large pump gearboxes and mining equipment.
