Pistons are supplied with rings, pins and circlips or on their own, and matched to the engine code rather than the vehicle. Tell us the OEM number and the oversize you need, and we confirm the kit before packing.

Applications

Truck pistons for haulage fleets, excavator pistons for construction machinery, generator pistons for standby power and marine pistons for workboats. The diesel piston is matched to the engine code, because bore size, compression height and ring land layout change between ratings. Heavy-duty pistons for continuous duty are quoted against the power you run.

Aluminium or steel

Both aluminium piston and steel piston designs are listed. Steel pistons are used where thermal load is highest; aluminium pistons cover the majority of truck and industrial applications. Each piston for diesel engine use is confirmed against the OEM number before packing.

Assemblies and components

Pistons are supplied on their own or as a piston assembly, a piston kit or a complete piston kit with rings, pin and circlips. We also quote the piston crown, piston skirt, piston pin, piston ring, piston ring set and piston circlip separately, and oversize piston sets for a rebored block.

Condition

New, original, aftermarket and remanufactured pistons are quoted separately, with the condition stated. A replacement engine piston assembly or a heavy duty diesel piston kit is the usual order for an overhaul.

Questions buyers ask

Do I need a piston or a complete kit?

If the rings and pin are within specification, a bare piston is enough. For an overhaul, a complete piston kit with rings, pin and circlips is faster.

Can you supply oversize pistons?

Yes, where the block is being rebored. Send the oversize you need with the OEM number.

How do I confirm the piston matches my engine?

Send the OEM number, the engine model and the machine model. We check bore and compression height before packing.
