Applications

Truck camshafts for haulage fleets, excavator camshafts for construction machinery, generator camshafts for standby power and marine camshafts for workboats. The diesel camshaft is matched to the engine code, because lobe profile and journal size change between ratings. Heavy-duty camshafts for continuous duty are quoted against the application.

Forged or cast

Both forged camshaft and cast camshaft designs are listed. Forged camshafts are usual on higher-load truck and industrial engines; cast camshafts cover lighter builds. A camshaft for diesel engine use is confirmed against the OEM number so the timing and valve lift match the original.

Assemblies and components

Camshafts are supplied as a bare shaft or as a camshaft assembly with the gear fitted. We also quote the camshaft gear, camshaft timing gear, camshaft sprocket, camshaft bearing, camshaft bush, camshaft seal, camshaft tappet and camshaft follower, so a top-end rebuild can be covered from one order.

Condition

New, original, aftermarket, remanufactured and used camshafts are quoted separately, with the condition stated. A replacement engine camshaft or a heavy duty diesel camshaft with gear is the usual single order.
