The OM501LA engine is a special development of the plant engineers who equipped their flagship Mercedes Actros trucks with them. The main features of the 501 diesel engine are high power output with low fuel consumption. With six cylinders, the internal combustion engine is characterized by increased reliability and a long period between scheduled maintenance.

The M272 E35 engine was the next step in the development of the V6 from Mercedes and was intended to replace the M112 E32 and M112 E37. In addition to the 3.5-liter, the new family includes the M272 E25 and M272 E30, with a working volume of 2.5 and 3 liters, respectively.

The concern has been producing gasoline engines Mercedes M274 with a volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters since 2011 and installs them on cars with a longitudinal engine, such as C-class and E-class. Similar motors for models with a transverse arrangement of the unit have the M270 index.

The Mercedes M271 E16 engine was produced from 2008 to 2011 and was developed on the basis of the M271 E18 cylinder block, where the corresponding short-stroke crankshaft was installed (the stroke was reduced to 75.6 mm). The M271 E16 is a 1597cc inline 4-cylinder petrol engine.

Mercedes M270 gasoline engines with a volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters were produced from 2011 to 2019 and installed on models with a transverse engine, such as the A-class and B-class. Similar units for cars with a longitudinal engine are index M274.
