The 2.5-liter Toyota 5AR-FE engine has been produced since 2013 at the company’s Chinese plant and is installed on the concern’s front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models, but only for the local car market. All versions of this unit are equipped with the Dual VVT-i variable valve timing system.
The engine was installed on:
Toyota Camry 7 (XV50) in 2015 – 2017;
Toyota Harrier 3 (XU60) since 2013;
Toyota RAV4 4 (XA40) in 2013 – 2018.
